Description

Features 1 female XLR input wired to 6 male XLR outputs. Perfect when adding extra amplifiers to a system, connecting multiple powered speakers, splitting intercom lines, etc. 

* Line level outputs can usually be split 6 times without noticeable loss of signal quality. The actual number of splits that can be accomplished depends on the level of the source signal and the impedances of the source and destinations in a particular application. It is not recommended that the SPLIT 6 be used to split a microphone level signal to more than two outputs. Attempting to do so may result in poor frequency response and reduced signal level.

The Whirlwind Super Tour is an entire 58-ch Concert Series snake system, neatly packed into a single road case. Super Tour packages are very popular with hotels, casinos, convention centers and touring sound companies and include all of the cabling you need for FOH, Monitors and setup. Also included is our legendary Patchmaster system, complete with sub snakes.

Description

All Super Tour splitters feature a W4 direct output on the rear, with the option of one or two isolated W4 outputs on the front panel. The 300' FOH cable consists of a 58-ch W4 cable, 12-ch W1 drive cable and AC cable bundled together. This cable coils neatly behind the splitter and exits through a trap door on the rear of the road case.

The Whirlwind AES Splitter 1x2 is a passive unit that delivers two identical AES/EBU signals from a single stream. The design utilizes a dual secondary transformer on the input and a separate isolation transformer for each output. With the three-transformer circuit, the Whirlwind AES-SP1X2 maintains excellent data integrity and high amounts of isolation between outputs.

ART ARTS8 8 Channel Microphone Signal Splitter Multiple Mixing Consoles

The ART S8 can be used to split eight balanced low impedance microphone signals into sixteen balanced low impedance microphone signals (eight pairs).

Each channel of the S8 provides one direct output and one transformer isolated output from a single microphone. Applications include sending the direct outputs to the main or Front-of-House mixer, and the second isolated outputs being sent to a monitor or recording mixer. The direct outputs pass phantom power from the main mixer to the microphones for use with condenser microphones.

The S8 includes a ground-lift switch on each isolated output to reduce noise due to ground loops between connected equipment. For versatility the S8 also features an attenuator pad switch on each input that can be used to connect preamplified signals to the two microphone-level outputs on each channel. Typical preamplified signals would originate from instrument preamplifiers, mixers, keyboards, et cetera.

This handy tool balances and isolates a single line level signal or lets you send a line level signal to two destinations with transformer balancing and isolation for one or both of the outputs.

The balancing provides superior noise rejection when you have equipment with unbalanced outputs that need to feed equipment with balanced inputs. The transformer isolation helps eliminate unwanted hum and buzz caused by power line and grounding issues.

In ISO mode the signal is passed directly through to one output and transformer isolated to the second output.

In SPLIT mode the signal is transformer isolated to both outputs with a resulting 6dB drop in level at each output.

A ground lift switch is provided for each output.

Both a female XLR and a 1/4" TRS jack are provided for the input signal. Male XLR connectors are used for the output signals.

Description

These fanouts have an inline W3 multipin connector at one end and a fanout at the other with WI3M male XLRs on input channels and WI3F female XLRs connectors on return channels. 

Black XLRs have large pre-stamped identifying numbers. Each fan out channel is 3 foot in length and the remailing trunk will be 7ft for a total of 10ft including the mass connector.

The Whirlwind Concert Series mic splitting systems include the most requested options for splitter boxes and panels for concert audio.

Each system is housed in either a heavy-duty steel stage box or an EIA 19" rack panel with back box enclosure. Our Whirlwind MASS Series Multipin connectors speed set-up and tear-down.

Microphone inputs are wired directly to one multipin (Main Out) and paralleled or wired through Whirlwind TRSP-1F transformers to a second multipin (Split Out). Each microphone input has a ground-lift switch on the Split Out.

Whirlwind's the line W4 58 Channel Concert series snakes are all handmade in Rochester NY.  This has a W4IRP Mass inline Connector to 58 WI3M inputs and 0 outputs. Black XLRs have large pre-stamped identifying numbers with 4.5ft fanouts. Snakeskin® is applied to the fanouts as a standard feature. Black XLRs have large pre-stamped identifying numbers and will have the multi-colored fanouts as shown in the picture here.

Great for Pro Sound applications where fast set up and tear down is needed.

In the modern multi-zone installation audio environment it has become a fact of life that one signal now has to go to more than one place, and usually at differing levels. And, to ensure a low noise floor and good frequency response, the split signal needs to be buffered and balanced as well.

The Solution
To fulfill this seemingly simple but important signal splitting task, ARX has designed the MaxiSPLIT: two independent channels of 1 into 4 splitters, switchable to a single channel 1 into 8 splitter by using the rear panel channel link switch. Mode status is shown by the front panel LED indicators.

Balanced Inputs and Outputs
Each channel features Male and Female electronically balanced XLR inputs, with passive RF filtering to prevent RF breakthrough. Each output features an electronically balanced male XLR output with individual output gain control on the front panel, providing up to +6 dB of gain.

Wide Dynamic Range
Internally, careful attention to signal path design has resulted in a unit with wide dynamic range, enough headroom to cope with the hottest line signal, and better than digital noise specifications.

Universal AC Power
AC power range is a universal 100 to 120V or 220 to 240V AC and is connected to the unit via a standard IEC connector, with built-in fuse and voltage change switch

Applications
A typical MaxiSplit application would be as a Master Line Distribution Splitter. In this way, it can control the levels of 4 different zones in a stereo installation or up to 8 different zones in a mono installation.

Other applications include splitting effects sends to multiple effects units in both studio and live sound applications, supplying different feeds from the main signal, and separating OB signals in broadcasting.

Accurate and compact, the MaxiSplit's unique combination of ultra-low distortion, low noise, and high headroom makes it the ideal installation line distribution splitter.

The Solution
Introducing the MaxiMIX from ARX: Two independent mixdown groups, each consisting of 4 line inputs with individual level controls and RF filters. Both groups can be linked for a Mono 8 channel mix.
Each input has up to +6dB of gain available, and full attenuation to allow matching of any line level signals.

Balanced Inputs and Outputs
In Stereo mode, each of the 4 electronically balanced inputs combine into fully balanced Master outputs, each of which has 2 male XLR sockets. In Mono mode all Eight inputs mix down to a single linked pair of Master outputs
