The original PureDrive™ circuit offered a pristine sound with the option to shift into a harmonically rich driven tone, and PURE DRIVE QUAD carries that legacy forward.

Analogue Obsession
PURE DRIVE QUAD delivers four premium mic preamps featuring PURE and DRIVE modes, plus a new Asymmetric DRIVE option, enhanced digital connectivity, and an integrated USB interface. Each channel provides four impedance settings, independent +48V phantom power, polarity invert, and a fully sweepable High Pass Filter.

Built with digitally controlled analogue circuits—no mechanical switches or pots in the signal path—PURE DRIVE QUAD ensures long-term reliability, precise recall, and perfectly matched channels. Each preamp can switch between three DRIVE flavours: Clean, Classic Drive, and Asymmetric Drive.

Three Distinct Sonic Flavours

Clean Mode (White)
Ultra-low noise, transparent SSL preamp performance that captures the source with exceptional detail.

Classic Drive (Amber)
Symmetrical DRIVE that generates predominantly odd harmonics—identical to the ORIGIN console.

Asymmetric Drive (Green)
A new colouration option exclusive to PURE DRIVE, emphasising even harmonics for extra weight, warmth, and softened transients.

Mic Impedance Input
Four selectable impedance values allow precise mic matching or creative tonal shaping—particularly powerful when using ribbon and dynamic microphones.

Independent Gain, Trim & HPF Controls
• Gain: Stepped control up to +65 dB
• Trim: 31-step precision control for fine level matching or driving the input for colour
• HPF: Variable high-pass filter up to 300 Hz

Advanced Connectivity
PURE DRIVE QUAD offers extensive analogue and digital I/O for professional studio, project studio, and location recording environments. Rear combo XLR inputs, front Hi-Z/DI inputs with auto-detection, and three D-Sub connectors support both line-level input and insert paths. Insert returns/ADC inputs accept up to +24 dBu.

Digital options include an integrated USB soundcard (up to 32-bit/192 kHz), dual AES/EBU output pairs, ADAT out, and ADAT LINK IN for cascading two units. AES and ADAT outputs can also be repurposed to route DAW audio from the USB soundcard. Auto-ranging word clock I/O ensures solid digital clocking.
